Overview

12axes Vercel App

12axes Vercel App is a free, anonymous, browser-based political ideology test that maps users across twelve distinct ideological axes instead of one. It is hosted at https://12axes.vercel.app/, built as a static Vercel web app, and runs in any modern browser without signup or installation. The quiz has three depth modes. The short version finishes in about five minutes. The standard version finishes in about nine minutes. The extreme version uses two hundred and forty items and takes around thirty minutes. Each mode feeds the same scoring algorithm and produces a percentage per axis plus a ranked list of compatible movements.

The twelve axes are: economic policy, immigration, religion in politics, civil liberties, form of government, federalism, international trade, diplomacy, intervention, capitalism versus socialism, progressivism versus conservatism, and libertarianism versus authoritarianism. The algorithm scores each axis independently so a respondent can be economically left, socially conservative and federally decentralised at the same time, which a single-line political compass would obscure.

The result page in 12axes Vercel App shows the percentage on each axis, lists compatible political movements, identifies the closest national political model, and surfaces the closest historical personality whose published views most closely match the user's vector. A shareable summary card is generated for messaging apps and social media. The whole experience is anonymous: the application stores nothing beyond the in-memory state needed to compute the current run, and no email, name or contact detail is ever requested.

The landing page is fully bilingual, with Portuguese as the default and English as a switchable alternative. FAQ cards cover reliability, scientific status, retake behaviour, sharing, data collection and mobile use. The audience includes civics teachers, debate clubs, students of political science, journalists seeking a low-stakes conversation hook, podcasters preparing guests for political interviews, and ordinary voters who want a neutral mirror of their own beliefs before a difficult conversation or an election.

12axes Vercel App is free, requires no signup, and is designed to make political self-reflection structured, calm and educational rather than tribal.
