Golden Ratio Face is an online facial analysis tool that uses the classical golden ratio φ (approximately 1.618) as a benchmark for three specific facial proportions. Hosted at https://pslscale.com/golden-ratio-face as part of PSL Scale, the tool accepts a JPEG, PNG or WebP photograph up to 10 MB and produces an overall harmony percentage together with three sub-scores.
The three sub-scores cover face height (upper vs lower face), eye-to-mouth span, and philtrum-to-nose length. Each is rated on closeness to phi; the average becomes the headline harmony score, which sits between 0 and 100. A 65% harmony score, for example, indicates an average phi closeness of 0.65 across the three measurements in that photograph.
Golden Ratio Face uses MediaPipe for landmark detection, which runs entirely in the user's browser. The original photo is processed on-device and not uploaded; only the normalised landmark coordinates and a few image-quality metrics are sent to a selected OpenRouter model that produces a written interpretation. The result page shows the original photo next to the annotated version with three coloured measurement lines and a downloadable PNG report. A free preview is available before any credit is spent; a completed report costs 10 credits. The intended audience is anyone curious about facial proportions — beauty enthusiasts, content creators, makeup artists, photographers, and people who want a structured way to discuss facial balance. The tool is explicit that the score measures mathematical proximity, not attractiveness.
