Palmier Io is an AI video editor with deep Model Context Protocol support, built for creators who want AI agents to participate directly in the editing process. Through MCP, tools like Claude Desktop, Cursor, and Codex can connect to a Palmier Io project, read its timeline state, and apply edits without manual intervention.

This agent-friendly design sits on top of a capable editor. Palmier Io offers multi-track timelines for video, audio, images, and text, with trimming, splitting, speed control, opacity, and transforms. Real footage and AI-generated clips share the same tracks, so mixed-source projects feel natural.

AI generation is embedded in the timeline itself. Palmier Io integrates several leading models, including Kling AI, ByteDance Seedance, Google Veo, and xAI Grok Imagine, letting you generate video, images, and audio as ordinary timeline actions. There is no separate generation site to bounce between.

For output, Palmier Io exports MP4 in H.264, H.265, and ProRes, and it writes NLE XML files that open cleanly in Premiere Pro and DaVinci Resolve. The base editor is free and open source, while AI generation operates on a credit-based plan. It is a Y Combinator-backed project targeting macOS.
